Second Shooter Independent Contractor Agreement
General Terms
I agree to work with Julie LeBlanc Photography. I will agree to a contracted rate of service before the acceptance of the job. Payment is $200-275 per wedding (depending on experience and equipment). Questions about fees, payment arrangements, and all expectations regarding the event must occur in e-mail or be put in writing, signed, and dated.

Attire
Each associate is to wear a presentable and professional clothes as stated in this contract. Our attire is business casual, clothes with no graphics, and not low cut shirts or short shorts. Dressy pants or dress at acceptable length with shorts underneath. Wear comfortable footwear, sneakers are only allowed if black. Make sure they are comfortable; you will be on your feet all day. No perfumed cosmetics, as many participants may be sensitive or allergic.

Time
Your photographer will give you an arrival time. You must be on time or early. Reserve eleven hours from the start of the event, in case the main photographer needs you to stay.

Copyright & Ownership of Images
All rights to images taken at any event are the sole property of Julie LeBlanc Photography. We have a contract and model release with the client; releasing their images to Julie LeBlanc Photography only. Photos cannot to be used in any manner by the assistant photographer without written authorization of Julie LeBlanc Photography. If written authorization is given for any purpose, the assistant photographer must use the following format (photo by “your name”, for Julie LeBlanc Photography).

Conduct
Be professional, respectful, polite, courteous, and deferential to all participants at all times. Respect and understand your photographers’ role as main photographer. Assistants are expected to assist the photographer first, and shoot second. Make sure you stay with your photographer at all times, unless instructed to do otherwise. Follow all instructions regarding important shots. If completed return to your photographer for further instructions.
If you have your own personal photography business, at no time, before, throughout, or after the wedding may you hand out personal business cards or mention your photography business name or mention you have your own business. Your sole responsibility with regards to clients is to promote Julie LeBlanc Photography. You may not drink alcohol or smoke during a wedding. Violation of any of these terms is grounds for immediate termination and revocation of contract.

Delivering of Image Cards
You will be shooting with provided memory cards only. You will return these cards immediately after the wedding and before leaving. You will not take any of your own personal images of the wedding.

Loss of Photos and or Damage Created
If there is a loss of photos taken at a wedding, it is at the discretion of your photographer whether and how much you will receive for your final payment. It is recommended you get liability insurance. If you cause damage at a wedding that requires replacement or punitive damages, you and you alone are responsible for your actions.

Notice for excusable absence
A minimum of 2 weeks (14 days) notice and you provide an equal replacement is required (an excusable absence). If you are unable to assist for a wedding. If you cannot provide an excusable absence you will be bumped down to the bottom of the assistant list. If your absence is not excusable, or you do not give notice and do not show up for a wedding, your contract is revoked.

In the event that the photographer sends this contract by email due to location differences, a reply from the second shooter of receiving this email and written acknoledgement to the agreement of terms of this document, will substitute signing the document.
